Damian
Maui sculptor Dale Zarrella gave me this wood, a cutoff from a large Koa stump that he was roughing out to make a salute to the newly christened Saint Damien, formerly Fr. Damien of the Island of Molokai where he cared for the leper colony of Kalapapa. Beautiful wood and many thanks to Dale!
This uke has an unusual feature in that I have intentionally left an indenture on the rear of the headstock for personalization. Your initials, a carving, or short phrase can help to make this your special instrument… think about it.
